the interior games don't pop up right away; you have to scroll down and read through the stuff a little but they have a lot of the interior games. it's to the right of the page if you scroll down just a little, it should be there. hope this helps!

We've used people on our projects who have an online certificate. At first, you won't be paid as much as someone who has their degree in interior design, however. What you are really looking to do is build your portfolio with projects over time. In some states, the law will prohibit you from calling yourself an interior designer without a BS or BA. You will be able to use it on your resume, but will need to focus more on your portfolio.
Good luck, you will find that it is a rewarding career both personally and professionally.

I would imagine it would be hard to do interior design online. Such a large percentage of the classes are hands-on, visual, computer based (like CAD, photoshop, etc). And an important part of that kind of program is about feeding off your classmates to generate ideas, working in teams, etc.

First, I have to say, good question I would have never thought of asking this!!! I, just like you, LOVE designing furnture on the computer and Stardoll.com is by far the best website for just that. Free or not free stardoll is a virtual-online-shopping spree, and the best part is you don't even have to go anywhere to go shopping and it is in the comforts of your own home. Like I said free or not free, Stardoll is free to join and with the free membership you basically get to dress up your own virtual look-alike person and dress them up with very tasteful clothes. You keep your clothes in Your Suite which is pretty much your own home, online virtual home of course, that you can decorate to your liking. But there are some downs to having a free membership like, you only get one dollar (called stardollar that you use to buy clothes, furniture, accessories, ecs) per day which really doesn't go very far. But if you go to Target, or other retailers that sell Stardoll Gift Cards (only $10 for a WHOLE months membership on stardoll)! The membership when you pay them is called being a SuperStar (giving you many more advantages than the free membership). I, myself haven't experianced being a Superstar on Stardoll but will probably perchase a gift card in the future. You also can dress up celebrity dolls and yes, you CAN design clothes AND furniture with the paid membership!
P.S. You can also become a Superstar and pay online with PayPal but it isn't as cheap if you buy it at Target, and I believe paying online is about $16 a month, but I'm not sure.

This may not be the answer you're looking for but taking classes online really lacks hands-on experience, and to really be a good designer, you need ALOT of hands-on. Just to understand some things you have to have alot of hands-on. Have you tried checking local community colleges? They are much more reasonable as far as tuition, and if you're shooting for a bacchelor's you can always transfer to a four year university after you get your associate's. Good luck!
Oh, and as a side note, shoot for FIDER accredited schools.
Oh, now it's called Council for Interior Design Accreditation: http://www.accredit-id.org/
