There’s no place like home and there’s no place like a home decorated with little accessories! A Home decor accessory can be cheap or expensive. In selecting a Home decor accessory it is not the price that matters. It is the beauty that the Home decor accessory will add to the place where it is displayed that matters most. If you want to make your house a home, then home décor is a must.
A beautifully crafted brass telescope sitting atop an adjustable wooden tripod stand of about 38 inches high can be a good Home decor accessory. It can also adorn an office of a person who has interest in astronomy or a person in the shipping industry. Some of the common items that are much sought after by people include decorative signs. A mural depicting Golden hills laden with ripe vineyards pay homage to the joy of wine. This painted glass in a wooden frame of 17 1/4″ x 12 3/8″ high can be a beautiful Home decor accessory that will not cost more than thirty dollars.
Holiday gifts and decorations are another common Home decor accessory. A Halloween chip and dip platter made of ceramic on the table is another simple but attractive decoration. This will be less than 10$. Another beautiful Home decor accessory is a “Divine Madonna and Child grace” mural tea set. This adorable doll-sized 10-piece tea set is made out of porcelain with a tray 6 ½ inches in diameter, teapot 4 ¼ high.”

The economy is bad. Unemployment is at an all time high, and things are going to get a lot worse. I don't think furniture and decor, though, are barometers for the economy. I'm certain a lot of people are "making due" with whatever they have. If someone can afford new furniture and had planned on purchasing it, I think they will probably go ahead and get it.

Get into the shop and build them as you like. Be creative.
Home decor normally refers to whole of items within the design whereas home accessories are those items used as decoration. Think of home decor as furniture, floor covering, wall treatments, etc. The bone structure. Home accessories would then be things like, picture frames, ashtrays, perhaps lamps, etc. Items that can be used to provide additional interest. The cosmetics.
Punk/goth u say? I like it!!!! But i'm gonna need more details.

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but try pulling in some patterns and textures. You can get some accent pillows for the couch that pull in both the green and the red. Same with the rug, maybe get a rug that has the green, gold and red, and maybe pulls in another color to add some contrast.
As far as accessories it depends on your taste – you could go rustic, maybe western or something more snow cabin like. It's hard to say because it really depends on your taste. Perhaps you can find a painting to pull things together and to draw inspiration from.
As for the trim, maybe a brown, or a stained wood to match the rest of your furniture.
I think you made a wonderful decision, sounds like a beautiful room! Good luck!
I’ve always liked the idea of layering an area rug on carpet. Good to see the layering concept is in.
All nice stuff but expensive I bet.
Interesting video.
In many businesses, a good way to grow a venture is to have a case study / proof of concept which can be pitched to potential business partners, investors, clients, or (in the case of larger businesses) internal decision makers — whoever holds the resources that you need to grow your small venture.
From the description you provided, it sounds like your work has an element of fashion or taste. So, you may want to consider (if you haven't already) "packaging" your pieces as a collection and defining the characteristics of your "target client" who would install your collection in his/her home or business.
If you've sold your pieces in the past, thinking about your client base may help you define these traits. Alternatively, you may also consider a nominal investment in market research which you can conduct yourself with tools from SurveyMonkey.com or Zoomerang.com. (A simple way to recruit respondents is to send your survey to friends and family and ask them to forward the link to your survey to 2-3 people and in turn ask those respondents to do the same — a "snowballing" technique.)
You may also want to try defining the potential market size of buyers for your pieces and the economic opportunity that represents over the next 1,2 or 5 years — build the case that will interest buyers and manufacturers in working with you now and in the long run. Then, ask for a pilot investment of time/resources to work with you for the next 1, 3, or 6 months — make it easier for manufacturers and retailers to say yes by helping mitigate the risk they see of you being “unknown” and ask them to help you define the terms of a pilot. (Remember, this is a negotiation, so try to define the terms that will be ensure your success when it comes time to measure the results.)
When the pilot proves successful, you can ask for a larger investment and make the case for expanding your line of designs (if your partners do not demand it first).
To find manufacturers and retailers, you might consider participating in a tradeshow. Often, participating as an exhibitor can be prohibitively expensive, especially for a start-up business. But, if you register as an attendee (sometimes for free), you can walk the tradeshow floor and approach / pitch the people that you meet in the booths. The ultimate goal is to develop a list of warm leads for follow-up meetings after the show is over — don't expect to close a deal there and then. Consider a tradeshow the icebreaker. Your "first date" comes later when you follow up to continue the conversation you started.
I know this does not answer exactly *where* to find manufacturers and retailers — you can probably do much of that by searching online — but hopefully this gives you some strategies that you can use when you find those leads. Good luck!
