Transitions are smoother on this one and matches well with the music. Must’ve looked good on a big screen! (or projected on a huge white wall?)

And maybe you can also make Origami Flying Bird which you can use for hanging on the window and/or for the crib.

Hancock Fabrics have lots of the materials. You can enlarge and print peel and stick decals for furniture or borders, posters, and iron on transfers to put on bedding and curtains on your computer. You can buy a basic crib set and then iron these transfers on in the size and color and pick the pics you like best! You can make the poster size in a few copies and cut out each character. Then glue it to a piece of foam board or posterboard to make cute wall hangings and a mobile! Have fun.

Poshtots.com has a terrific assortment if you can afford it or do like I do and use it for ideas! A crib that looks like a white fairy tale carriage is $15,000!! Another one is the pumpkin type carriage child's bed and it is $47,000!! They have very elaborate bedding also. I think most regular folks are still using cartoon characters or baby soft pastels or bright basic colors. It is fun to decorate them no matter how you do it! Posh has furniture for adults as well.Best wishes.

Don't worry about it.
Kids are not Martha Stewart. They are going to love ANYTHING you do because it's their room and their Mommie made it for them.
And lets face it, it will be covered with toys most of the time anyway.
I would just paint it a bright and easy to clean color. Use lots of color. Use EASY TO CLEAN paint.
Then paint the alphabet on one wall, and do numbers on another wall.
My wife painted the numbers 1-20 on our apartment wall, down low where the kids could see, and she put little dots under each number. One dot under 1, two dots under 2, three dots under 3 etc.
Paint smiling faces…kids like smiling faces it reassures them that everything is OK.
I wouldn't go spending all the money on a licensed and trademarked kids show character. The kids don't know who Thomas the Train and Raggedy Ann and Mickey Mouse are…they are just as happy with generic teddy bears.
In fact if you could paint THEIR teddy bears or toys on the wall, that would be cool.
Don't spend a lot of money though, and get their furniture at resale shops…no need to spend a lot of money on a chest of drawers that is going to repeatedly have a metal car rammed into it and all sorts of noxious bodily fluids spilled on it, and will probably have a half chewed gummy bear permanently affixed to the back of it before you are done with it.

I say go for it! Martha Stewart even has skull & crossbone designs on baby blocks that she created for a bay nursery on her website. And people do pirate themes all the time. Just let your mind wonder and be creative!
